Importing Accounts

Importing accounts from external program (other than GYC)
Importing accounts from file exported from GYC Automator


Importing accounts from external program (other than GYC)
  1. Export accounts from your external program to CSV or TAB delimited file.
  2. Make sure that exported file has following columns
    Site – It may have only YAHOO or GMAIL as data according to email account provider.
    Email – email address e.g. someone@gmail.com
    Pwd – Password or email account

    If exported file does not have above column then existing columns can be renamed or new columns can be created as required.

    You can also add following columns to file if you have corresponding data:
    Firstname - First name of email account holder
    Lastname - Last name of email account holder
    Gender - 1 for male, 2 for female
    DOB - Date of birth
    Country - Country
    State - State
    Zip - Zip
    CraigsListPwd - Craigslist password
    GmailFWEmail - Gmail Forwarding email (if set)

  3. Click Import Accounts to start import wizard and follow instructions given in image below

  4. After clicking the Show data data from CSV file will appear in grid. Click Next to go to next step.
  5. Here you need to map fields from CSV file to GYC fields. Only three fields are mandatory (Site, email, pwd), you can skip remaining fields. Mapping columns

  6. Map fields and click next to proceed to last step.
    Importing accounts

    You can also save import settings as template that you can later use to import similar file without going through each step of import wizard.

  7. Click Data in grid is ok, import now button to import and save accounts.


Importing accounts from file exported from GYC Automator
  1. Click Import Accounts to start import wizard and then click Select Template button to browse for template for GYC import settings.

  2. In browse file dialog, browse to GYC installation folder and then select Import_GYCAutomator_csv.dmt (if your data is in CSV file) or Import_GYCAutomator_tab_delimited.dmt (if your data is in TAB delimited file). After selecting file click 'Ok' to close browse dialog.

  3. Now you will be presented with a notification Data file missing... as below. Click Yes to browse for your data file.

  4. If data in your file is correct and error free then you will be moved directly to last step of wizard.

  5. Click Data in grid is ok, import now button to import and save accounts.
